About Us

A Respectful and Inclusive Approach to Faith

St Peter’s School is a welcoming Catholic community founded by the Brigidine sisters in 1955. Our school is committed to providing an innovative curriculum and encouraging all students to achieve their personal best in all facets of their school life and inspires a passion for lifelong learning.  We are a diverse community that works in partnership with families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.

Our school motto, “Credo”, meaning “I believe”, reminds us that faith is a personal journey that begins with belief and grows through experience, learning, and action. It inspires us to develop students who live out the values of the Gospel with integrity, compassion, and courage.

Respectful dialogue with people of all faiths and worldviews is also encouraged, fostering a community that values inclusivity, understanding, and peace. Through Religious Education, we aim to support each student in becoming a thoughtful, faithful, and hope-filled contributor to the world.

While we proudly teach and live the Catholic tradition, we also recognise the rich diversity of our school community. Students are encouraged to engage in respectful dialogue with people of other faiths and worldviews, fostering understanding, appreciation, and peace.
This aligns with the Church’s commitment to interfaith respect and helps students grow into compassionate, informed, and globally-minded citizens.

We have a professional team of staff who provide challenging, child-centred learning experiences. Students at St Peter’s School learn in a respectful, safe and caring environment in which they are encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential and to act responsibly. Our journey in faith is greatly supported by our Parish Priest, Fr Andrew McCarter.
