Vision for Engagement

At St Peter’s, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, connected, and empowered to thrive.

As a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, we promote a consistent and proactive approach to behaviour across all areas of the school. PBL helps us build a positive school culture by clearly teaching and reinforcing expected behaviours, celebrating success, and supporting students in making positive choices.  We promote and explicitly teach the core values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Safety through weekly PBL lessons.

Our staff are trained in the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM), a research-based approach that supports the social and emotional development of all students. BSEM strategies help us foster resilience, engagement, and self-regulation, ensuring that our students are ready to learn and grow every day.

We are committed to supporting every student in reaching their fullest potential. By making reasonable adjustments based on individual needs, we foster a learning environment that is both inclusive and personalised. Through close partnership with students, families, and staff, we aim to break down barriers to learning and ensure that every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

Together, these frameworks guide our holistic approach to wellbeing, enabling every student to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
